Venom While exploring space to find new planets that could be habitable the probe of the bioengineering firm Life Foundation discovers an asteroid covered with living organisms that are symbiotic. Four of the samples are returned to Earth by the probe, however one is eluded, causing it to crash in Malaysia. The Life Foundation recovers the other three samples and takes them to their research facility located in San Francisco, in which they find that living symbiotes can’t survive without oxygen-breathing hosts, which can cause fatal rejection of the symbiosis. Eddie Brock is an investigative journalist. He has read about human trials in classified files that is in the possession of Anne Weying . Anne Weying is an attorney who has prepared a defense for the Life Foundation. Brock confronts Life Foundation CEO Carlton Drake about the trials. This leads to both Brock and Weying losing their jobs. As a result, Weying ends their relationship. Venom HD
Six months later, Drake’s Symbiosis trials seem closer to success. However, one of his symbiotes gets destroyed by negligence. Dora Skirth approaches Brock, one of Drake’s scientists. She disagrees with Drake’s method and demands to be known. She aids Brock get into the research facility in search for evidence, and he learns that an acquaintance of his homeless woman, named Maria, is among the test participants. Brock is determined to save Maria however the symbiote is in her body transfers to Brock’s body without him realizing and leaves her dead. Brock is able to escape and starts to exhibit strange signs. Brock contacts Weying to get assistance. Her boyfriend, Dr. Dan Lewis discovers the symbiote while Brock is being examined. Drake exposes Skirth to the remaining symbiote in captivity and kills both. This leaves the symbiote in Brock as the sole remaining specimen.
Drake sends mercenaries to retrieve the symbiote that was stolen from Brock but it manifests on his body in the form of a terrifying creature that fights off the enemies. It later introduces itself to Brock as Venom and explains the comet is looking for planets where the symbiotes can possess and devour the inhabitants. Venom is willing to help Brock if he assists the symbiotes to achieve their goal. Brock is able to take advantage of the abilities of a superhuman symbiote grants him. Brock is attempting to get into Drake’s old workplace however, he is prevented by SWAT police officers. Weying witnesses him transform into escape, and then takes Brock to Lewis’s workplace where they inform him that the symbiote has been ruining the internal organs of Brock. Brock insists that the symbiote is prone to high-pitched sound and fire. Venom asserts that organ damage is reversible, but Weying uses the MRI machine to separate Brock from Drake who is later caught and taken away by Drake’s men.
The fourth symbiote Riot is also on its way, shifting from one body the next. It bonds with Drake and agrees to move Riot on the Life Foundation space probe in order to gather all the other symbiotes to Earth. Weying is reluctantly bonded with Venom in order to help them liberate Brock. Venom and Brock have a second time bonded. Venom declares that he was influenced by Brock to defend the Earth from his species. They then try to stop Drake and Riot with Weying’s assistance. Venom makes the probe explode, killing both Riot as well as Drake. After the incident, Brock returns to journalism, while Weying believes that Brock is no longer tied to Venom after this, and that Venom was also killed in the blast. They are secretly bonded, and they have set out to protect San Francisco from criminals.
Brock is invited to interview Cletus Kasady, who is a serial killer who claims “carnage” in the event that he is able to escape from the scene.
